About

Owl(s) Hooting

This beautiful, Christian man was born July 5, 1986 and began creating music in his parents' basement in Owatonna, Minnesota since he could remember. He suffers from insomnia, but he uses that as a strength for his music.

Just like any other sane aspired musician tries to become famous, he was first spotted upon myspace. Launcing his first album Of June which peaked at #16 on the charts, who then signed a contract with Universal Republic.

Following Of June came Maybe I'm Dreaming, Ocean Eyes and All Things Bright and Beautiful. He is involved in a few side projects as well, including Sky Sailing, Port Blue as well as a photography.

With inspiration from his fans, fellow singer and song writers, his travels and of course God, he sings and writes his heart out to every beat.

Wanna Get To Know the People Running This Blog?

No? Well too bad…

dancingunderwearMy name is Khalle and I created this blog the Summer of 2009 because at the time tumblr was in need of an Owl City blog, hence the old fashion “fuckyeah” title. I got into Owl City in early 2008 wen my older brother ask my aunt and I to come near the computer to listen to a song called ‘Hello Seattle’ because it had a city that was thirty minutes away in the title. We thought it was awesome, so I went and did more research and what do you know, here I am now. Anywho, to keep it short: I am nineteen and from Washington, you know the rainy one not the famous one. I like tigers, odwalla juice, coffee, scarves, boots, fun socks, going to school, going on dates and ordering the same meal from iHop within every visit. If you are curious about me some more, don’t fear following me.

brownandgreen: I’m Joshua and I joined Khalle summer of 2011 in order to keep up the pace of the blog. Unfortunately, Khalle was and still remains to be incredibly busy, so I took on the task of aiding her run FYOC. I’m currently 17 years of age with a brown field of wheat as a hair doo. If you ever see strange, amusing posts with poor grammar, I’m probably the one behind it. Although I reside in Florida, I’m a native Englishman and thoroughly proud of it. I discovered Owl City through Pandora radio the summer he released Fireflies, although my first song that encapsulated my interest in Adam’s work is “The Bird and The Worm”. Ever since, I’ve been a die-hard fan in all of his projects. Come talk to me, if you’re ever interested!

waistdeepinthoughts: Hi there guise! I’m honored to say that I’m the 3rd member of this blog. I’ve been here since the last week of October this year, when Khalle was very kind to invite me here. Happy to say, I’m very overwhelmed and I’ve never thought that there are so many Hootowls in Tumblr. I’m 16 and I’m from the Philippines. I love to draw and paint, and I have a serious thing for French Fries and Pizzas. Been a fan since the middle of 2009, and so far so good, I’ve been living the HootOwl life. So yeah, thanks for dropping by! If you want to ask some questions, just go to the Owlery [ask box] and send in your messages!

0hh-deer: Hi there! My name is Bridget. I’m 18 and live in New York. I’ve been a fan of Owl City since late 2008 and I owe it all to Livelavalive on Youtube. I believe I’m the most recent addition to this blog but I haven’t had near the amount of time to spend with it as I would like. I’ll be graduating high school in just a few short weeks and with summer beginning I’m hoping to become more involved with FYOC as I’ll have more time on my hands. I’d like to let you know right away that I’m an odd person. I have a decent layer of shyness, but just under that is a thick layer of friendliness. I really like deer, laughing and spending time with old people. Feel free to talk to me, I’m always up for a good chat!
